Let's get this water-party started!
DAY 5 : 24TH OCTOBER 2015 - PART ONE
We love travel-back-in-time to our childhood’s dreams and get lollipop sugar high at everything. Before our trip to Japan last year, we already had our travel destination plan out, and CNA was no stranger in our list that waiting to be crossed. After years of anticipation, we finally made our way to Pattaya Thailand! Woohoo! Hence today, we are delighted to share this special trip with you.
This is CARTOON NETWORK FIRST EVER THEME WATER PARK IN THE WORLD !!!!
CARTOON NETWORK AMAZONE!!
We're so happy for them and super grateful that out of so many countries in the world, the waterpark, Cartoon Network Amazone was located in Southeast Asia. YES! We live in Southeast Asia.
We bought our ticket online cartoonnetworkamazone.com on a promotion period, therefore our tickets comes with free lockers! Also if you have any questions, do not hesitate to talk with their customer service; they speak English and they are very friendly! We make an enquiry on the transportation services previously, and have no fear! Cartoon Network Amazone provides shuttle van service from your hotel in Pattaya City to their water park! More details here ( 1 )( 2 ).
So without further ado, let's jump into it!

Rise and shine!

Woke up SUPERB early and our hotel room look amazing!
We packed extra clothes, towel and brought a bottle of Shampoo to shower in the park. Both of us just got our hair dyed before heading to Thailand, so to make sure our hair is fully cared and do not get any more damaged throughout the day we also carried and filled a spray bottle with 50% hair-conditional 50% water to coated our hair. Okey dokie, we got ourself prep up and ready to go go go! Cartoon Network Amazone!
00. TICKET & WRISTBAND COLLECTION

We arrived at CNA early; the park was still closed, but we spotted few locals were queuing for the tickets/wristband. We bought our tickets in advance so we’re queuing to redeem our e-tickets into wristband. We waited for an hour before the counter was open.
At the ticket counter, present your online reservation, and the person in charge will give you and your group a wristband each. The crew at the counter will then asked if you would like to "top-up" your wristband with cash, if you do not wish to do it now you can always "top-up" inside. The staff here speak English and is relatively easy to understand.
The "multi-purposed" wristband which was the park entrance ticket, also served as your locker key and cash wallet! The best part, you do not have to return, so BAM free mech! Anyhow, do take not that you still need to buy food, drinks and merchandise with the wristband, so make sure you top-up enough BAHT before used, keep it safe and remember to collect back any cash balance at the ticket counter before you leave CNA.

(R) : Got our wristband and ready to have some fun!

01. PARK INTRODUCTION

OMGGGGGGG IS FIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN ANNNNNNNNDDDDDDD JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEE!!
We proceed to the turnstiles to have our bag check and immediately saw Finn and Jake once we make through! CNA, is so unreal, but instead of waiting for our turn to get a picture with them, we went and put our stuff in the locker! EVEN our slippers! And head on over to where all the thrilling rides were build! Our main goal is to play every ride before the water park started to get packed.
The park is pretty small, but it was separated into few zones, namely :-
1) Adventure Zone
2) Omniverse Zone
3) Cartoonival
4) Megawave
5) Riptide Rapids
6) SurfArena
7) Foodvile & CAN Store
8) Cabana Republic (WILL OPEN SOON) But then you won’t feel any much of the differences.
Before we get into each of the rides, we do recommend having a waterproof pouch if you want to take pictures with your phone, or a GoPro strap since most of the ride doesn’t allow you to use selfie stick. In any case, there’s a section for you to keep selfie stick, glasses, and slippers throughout the park. :)

02. OMNIVERSE ZONE
In no particular order.
#Ride 1
The Omnnitrix
Thrill : 9/10
Fun : 8/10
Slider : 4 Sliders
Selfie Stick : NO
Recommended : YES
Omnitrix is our 1st ride of the day. We grab our tube at the end of the slide and drop the tube to the “lift” before going up the stairs. This is the only ride where we don’t have to carry the tube ourself. HAHA! Depending on crowd levels, this ride could be packed of peoples, we went back by noon to play it for the 2nd time and the “tube-collecting” queue was quite long! So can ya imagine how popular this ride is!
#Ride 2

Sorry we do not have a photo but Alien Attack is our 2nd ride! Again, collect the tube at the end of the slide and head over to the same stairs where you ride The Omnnitrix. A must-try for a water tubes sort of ride –We’re amazed how beautiful going down the slides could be! Will never look at water slides the same after Alien Attack, well for now of course. BEAUTIFUL!
#Ride 3

Goop Loop (Free Fall ride!)

#Ride 4

Intergalactic Racers
Thrill : 7/10
Fun : 7/10
Slider : 4 sliders
Selfie Stick : NO
Recommended : YES
Time to be like Gunter & slide with your belly! We thought we will be racing each other in this multi-lane slide.Sadly it didn't turn out that way, we went down one by one instead.Oh Shucks! Tho it lost the competitiveness factor yet some were still ahead one or the other. Don't lose faith and BRING IT!! \m/ We recommend that you play Intergalactic Racer after Goop Loop or XLR8-TOR, the slide ends right next to each other, so you could grab your tubes/mats.

Intergalactic Racers (Left) is next to XLR8-TOR(Middle) and Goop Loop (right)
#Ride 5

Humungaslide
Thrill : 8/10
Fun : 8/10
Slider : 2 Sliders
Selfie Stick : No
Recommended : YES
HUUUMMMAAANNNGAAASLIDEEE! That’s what we’ve been hearing the whole day. The finish was INTENSE (vertical drop & backwards) that we totally FORGOT to hold on the handle & raised our hand up to get a cool video! Which was a very ridiculous yet dangerous thing to do! We ended up got “BEEP” by the lifeguard!

Life guard is under the mini Cabana. Sorry!
XLR8-TOR
Unfortunately, we didn’t try this one out, we sort of forgotten about this ride cause we started to get hungry.Ophs. We heard it was one of the steepest slide in Asia! Hopefully we could try it in the future!

03. LUNCH TIME – FOODVILE

We didn’t had a proper breakfast (just few bites on a piece of bread) before we arrive so we got hungry after playin' all the thrill rides! We headed over to Foodvile which is the waterpark cafeteria/food court, located around Omniverse Zone. Ample space occupied with little hut which is good enough for 4, for that lunch-by-the-beach atmosphere. The whole cafeteria was pretty empty while we were there.
The interior design was fairly good with big banners and signs indicated what cuisine each kiosk are selling. Our favourite part of the whole interior was this amazing Courage the Cowardly Dog stained-glass-inspired banner, and the floor design.90s Cartoon Network vibe!

Imagine how amazing this will look if is made with actual glass!
#Food Choice
Care for a Marcie Pizza or some Chinese take-away by Gunball or perhaps you fancy some Tom Yum spice up by Bubbles? Western, Chinese, Asian, Barbeque, Pizza and more! – These are few selection of food that Foodvile is offering! Tho the food choice were very basic, but basic enough to fuel your tummy for more splashing activities ahead!

What we had for lunch in Foodville, simple dish but very overpriced!
Noodles: 250 baht (RM31), Carbonated drinks: 60 baht (RM7.50), Ice coffee: 120 Baht (RM15)

// 04. MASCOT APPEARANCE & CARTOON NETWORK AMAZONE STORE

The sky was about to rain, and we’re super worried that the ride will close down. Nevertheless the appearance of the Powerpuff Girls dancing in a remake of “Oh Mickey” song, turn things up! They were adorbs!
We check out the Cartoon Network merchandise store before heading back to the water. Architecture wise, design wise and decoration was very well done! There's this huge Finn sculpture with his hand and feet stretching incredibly long right in front of the store entrance, a sculpture of Ice King at the back of cashier, and buntings of famous Cartoon Network personalities are all hung up from the ceiling surrounding the whole store, giving it a colourful and fun ambience.

Sadly, the merchandise available at the moment was very little and it was not as impressive as we imagine it to be, they are very expensive as well. Was hoping to buy a bunch of stuff majorly from the cartoons in our days, say a courage the cowardly dog mug would be nice, but oh well.
The store sells varieties of clothing, waterpark-themed plush toy, cute inflatable tube that comes with all sort of design, there's a Lady Rainicorn tube for kids, water bottle, beach towel, sticker tatto, badges and much more. The famous characters/merchandise are Adventure Time, Ben10 and Powerpuff Girls. In any case, this was their 1st year of opening, so there’s still many improvement on the merchandise sections! We bought our self some super cool beach towel: 1,120 baht (RM140), a tattoo sticker: 79-115 baht (RM9-RM14) and a lanyard: 299 baht (RM37)

// 05. CARTOONIVAL (KID’S PLAYGROUND)
We head over to the Cartoonival to grab few obligatory shots and we met the hunky Johnny Bravo flexing some muscles.
Cartoonival is sorta like a huge water-playground mainly for kids! (And adult if you up for it!) With friendly faces from the classic and to the one today such as Dexter, Mojo Jojo, Chowder and etc, it was well design and fully theme at every corner! Not only the playground was very photogenic and great for photo opp, they have multiple slides and huge water bucket to enjoy! Tho we must warn ya, kids are everywhere :P

Cartoonival
Thrill : 1/10
Fun : 6/10
Selfie Stick : YES
Recommended : YES
We had a baby splashin’ time here in Cartoonival, it was merely a photo-opp for us rather than a-must-go ride. We did had a few slides with the kids, and they were pretty organize and queue for their turns! Not that impatient like we imagine. Oh yes, the view on top was nice! Make sure you check em’ out. One more thing, we were addicted to the huge water bucket dumping water down to our veins! SO MUCH FUN!

// 06. MEGA WAVE (BEACH PARTY!!)
Located behind Cartoonival, lies a big wave pool party with stages, performance and pumping music! Just like every other swimming pool, it’s get deeper every meters. Get your life vest or floats ready then prepare to get high and low in this wavy water! Not into the mood for waves, there’s a few shaded cabana and deckchairs ready for everyone.

Mega Wave
[Below 1 meter]
Thrill : 2/10
Fun : 8/10
Relaxing : 6/10
[Above 1 meter]
Thrill : 4/10
Fun : 8/10
Relaxing : 3/10
Selfie Stick : YES
Recommended : YES, AND GET A LIFE VEST!!
Stay within 1m and below if you’re afraid of water or not a swimmer, since the waves can get pretty high up, we do not want you to get panic here do we? Or just get yourself a float! Daredevils should just head towards the 1.5m – 1.8m mark, da bomb! The waves is cray cray!! We didn’t have any life vest on and yet we were brave enough to go deeper. It was not that terrified until we reach 1.5meters, here the waves get stronger, higher and basically more dangerous LOL.
During the 1.5m, Vomit lost his glasses while holding Von in a high wave. He can’t see a thing and the pool was filled with hundreds of peoples going up and down. To intensify the whole situation, it started to rain… We borrow a pair of googles from the locals. Luckily enough, Vomitz managed to found his spectacles in perfect condition! The rain started pouring after that and everyone was forced to leave the pool.
Who knew a pitter-patter rain could turn itself to a heavy storm. We sat under one of the shaded cabana, freezing as the strong wind blew towards us while waiting for the rain to stop. The rain last bout 30mins, tho it was still drizzling but at least some rides were back in action. We come back to Mega Waves with life vests! Safety level increase = Dare devils unleashed.
We swam towards the 150m zone again and it was AWESOME! The waves was so strong and it did went up really high we spread our arms and just float around like a plastic bag and the best part, we do not have to worry about drowning. Woohoo! Kudos to Vomitz and May, they went towards the 180m mark which was pretty darn deep!
